The Youth Initiative!

What would happen if a generation of students and youth workers intentionally spent time together -- in large-scale gathering events, mission trips, and in life and leadership development? We're creating a community of highly connected teens and emerging adults spanning the southwestern states: young people who form a tribe of friends, who love Jesus and understand themselves as influential world changers at home and abroad.

Upcoming Youth Events in the Pacific Southwest Conference

Leadership Road Trip at University Covenant Davis

This year at Celebration, we’re inviting youth workers to bring their student leaders and adult volunteers to University Covenant in Davis. We’ll be joined on Friday and Saturday by Mark Oestreicher from The Youth Cartel. Together we’ll explore "Non-Coercive Ministry Leadership" through is new book, “Leading Without Power” and we’ll look at the core principle of “Belonging” as the #1 ingredient for a healthy Youth Ministry.  The event is only $20 per person!  For more information click here!

Jr. High Winter Camp

This Winter, we're pulling together 20+ Covenant Churches in Northern California for one massive Jr. High Winter Camp!  We'll be staying at Leoni Meadows in Grizzly Flats near Placerville.  Last year we had 300+ Jr. High Students join us for a weekend of fun and games, inspiring teaching, and powerful worship.  If you'd like more information or you want to know which churches are coming, click here!

Youth & Children Workers Retreat @ Mission Springs

Come join us for three days of being known, resourced and loved on as Covenant Youth and Children Workers in the Pacific Southwest Conference.  Mission Springs is hosting us once again for an opportunity to connect to one another, be refreshed, and dream about our ministry that is to come.  We want every Youth and Children Worker to leave refreshed for your ministry ahead!   The retreat starts Sunday at Dinner and ends Tuesday with lunch.  For more information, click here!

Emerge - Community College Program

This Fall we're launching Emerge, a comprehensive program for Community College Students to Move Out, Go to College, and Get Ahead in life.  We're piloting the program in Sacramento and looking to expand to Los Angeles in 2017.  If you'd like to follow along as the program develops, click here for more information and how to get involved.

Local Cluster Gatherings in the PSWC

We weren't meant to do ministry alone!  Take some time out of your already busy schedule to connect with other Covenant Youth Workers.  If you're looking to connect with your Cluster Leader, you can find their information here.

Fall High School Retreat at Mission Springs

This Fall we're kicking off our first collaborative Fall Retreat at Mission Springs! We've got spots for 300 people and we're looking to get 15 churches together in November.  We'll bring in a speaker, band, and work with Mission Springs to get the programming together.  This is just the first of many fall retreats to come!  If you're interested in being a part of the planning team or you'd like to get your church on the interest list, please fill out this form.  Form and more information, click here!

Southern California Youth Fellowships

Come join us at Emmanuel Covenant Church in Northridge for an afternoon of worship, challenging speakers, and a lot of food!  This is a multi-cultural event that's bi-lingual and a great opportunity for students to get to know other Youth Groups.    The event is free to attend and is organized and run by our youth, for our youth.  For more information, click here!
